I've posted before about how enraptured I was with the articulate, astute writings of Wednesday Martin in her book Stepmonster. I've recently started to read it again, knowing how extremely helpful and comforting I found it the first time I read it. This book above all others has been the most meaningful to me of all the stepmom books I've read.
I thought I'd share a little snippet from the opening chapter that really struck me:
"One woman I know likened [becoming a stepmom] to being thrown into the ocean during a storm. "Everybody screams 'Swim!' and walks away from you," she said with a laugh."
Isn't that the truth?!
